Finish off your spring season, or kick off your summer, by joining us as we present “A Boy and a Girl”.
Although the original theme nominated was “Boys vs. Girls”, we noticed our repertoire was centred around the theme of love, or the admiration of another person and the intimacy there can be between one another. We aptly named our concert “A Boy and a Girl”, a la Eric Whitacre’s composition, which we will be performing.
We have an eclectic program that showcases the versatility of our ensemble. We are performing beautiful lush choral works by Antognini and Daley, which contrasts the fun, upbeat, modern-day pop songs of Bruno Mars and TLC. We will be featuring a few arrangements of our very own choir members: Stephanie, Marco, Troy, and Alyssa.
The fun doesn’t stop there. In VanDeca fashion, we will have a reception that will be catered by New Westminster’s own deli cafe, Greens & Beans. We are very grateful for the support shown by owner, Leona, and would like to give her a special shout-out! We will also have a few door prizes to give away.
You won’t want to miss this night of great music and entertainment! So mark your calendars on Saturday, May 30 at 7:30PM at Knox Presbyterian Church in Sapperton, New Westminster.
